Dr. Kast earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University, graduating Cum Laude, before attending The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He graduated with honors and was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society—an honor reserved for the top students in his class.

He continued his education at The Ohio State University, completing a full-time orthodontic residency where he earned both his Master of Science degree and orthodontic specialty certificate. His master’s research focused on facial esthetics and the impact orthodontics has on overall facial harmony—reflecting his passion for combining art and science in every smile he creates.

Dr. Kast began his career practicing dentistry in a variety of clinical settings, gaining a broad understanding of oral health and patient care. This foundation allows him to approach orthodontic treatment with a comprehensive perspective, working closely with general dentists and other specialists to ensure the best possible outcomes for his patients.

Leadership & Advanced Care

Dr. Kast has been recognized by his peers for both his clinical skill and leadership. He has served in multiple roles within the Cleveland Society of Orthodontists, including President.

He has also played an important role in treating patients with complex needs as part of the craniofacial team at MetroHealth Hospital, helping care for children with cleft lip, cleft palate, and other craniofacial conditions. During this time, he also contributed academically as an associate professor at Case Western Reserve University.
